Children's Knot Tying Classes
I teach Chinese knot tying to children as young as six, beginning with basic knots and bracelets before working up to more complex knots. I focus on building fine motor skills and confidence. Participants learn how to use plastic, wooden, and stone beads and discs.
-
Adult + Teen Knot Tying Classes
My classes for adults and teenagers include information about the cultural significance of Chinese knots. Participants get access to my extensive jade collection, as well as porcelain, wooden, and stone beads.
There is an optional presentation that I can give on the history of Chinese knots and jade, including the deposits found here in America.

Sewing Classes
In my children’s sewing classes, I teach basic stitches, embroidery, and how to create stuffed animals and toys. I work to foster participants' creativity and discipline, so they can take on an artistic project from start to finish.
In adult sewing classes I have taught embroidery, quilting, and mending. These classes include information about the history of the particular sewing technique we’re learning.

This was an absolute joy to attend! The Lucky Knot w/ahmoy event made me feel more connected to my culture. I met an amazing group of people who were kind, and I felt like I was creating in a safe and positive space. Ahmoy was fantastic going over everything as a group and then helping those who needed it. I will be back for another event soon I hope! Thank you for an amazing experience.
